 AIDS Walk Wisconsin & 5K Run
Saturday, October 6, 2018. 9:30 am to 2 pm. Celebrating its 29th anniversary on Saturday, October 6, 2018, AIDS Walk Wisconsin and 5K Run is the largest HIV fundraising event in Wisconsin. Starting and finishing on the Summerfest Grounds, this fully-supported event takes place on Milwaukee's lakefront and includes rest stops, breakfast and an opening ceremony with Matt Bomer, Honorary Chair, Golden Globe award winning actor and director, all in a fun and festive atmosphere. free.  The Dog Walk
Saturday, October 6, 2018. 9 am. Event participants and dogs can enjoy a half-mile lagoon walk or a 2.5-mile river walk around the scenic Rock River. The walk begins promptly at 10am, with check-in and on-site registrations beginning at 9am. This is a dog-friendly event, however all dogs must be leashed at all time during the event. $25.00.  Dairyland Walkers Maple Bluff Walk
Saturday, October 13, 2018. 9 am. Join the Dairyland Walkers on this 10K/6K walk from north Madison into the village of Maple Bluff. The 6K will not go past as many big mansions as the 10K, which will go by the Governor's Residence. There will be views of Lake Mendota. Walkers may register at the Recreation Center and start walking anytime between 9 am and noon; please finish the walk by 3 pm. $3 for volkssport credit or $2 for youths and noncredit adults.  Drumstick Dash
Thursday, November 22, 2018. 8:30 am. The 7th Annual Drumstick Dash 5K & Half a Drumstick (1.55 Miles) returns to Miller Park on Thanksgiving morning at 8:30 AM. The Drumstick Dash is benefitting Feeding America Eastern Wisconsin, where every $1 donated provides 3 meals to a person in need in Eastern Wisconsin. Be a part of this unique food drive!
